Everything Hits At Once

The movie Anchorman is hilarious, and I really do like Will Ferrell. Which is why I have a feeling Talladega Nights is going to be great. I laughed quite a bit during the trailer. Isn't going to be released until August, but it looks like it'll be one of those fresh, fun comedies that only come around a couple times a year while the masses love movies like Big Momma's House 2 instead.

Speaking of fresh fun comedies, god knows Strangers With Candy (yes, the movie) is going to be fantastic. It premiered at last year's Sundance film festival, but it's theatrical release has been in limbo due to some distribution issues. All has been settled now though and it's due for a limited (bah) June release. If you've never seen the original Comedy Central show you're missing out. Go rent or buy the DVD's now. Along with nearly all the original cast members (including the hilarious Colbert Report's Stephen Colbert) several stars make appearances in the film including Matthew Broderick, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Phillip Seymour Hoffman. It's got an 8.0 based on 140 votes so far on IMDB. While that rating is sure to go down, I can't say I'm surprised is been well received by those who have seen it. It's going to be great.
